Stacy Hart-Brown (she/her)

Stacy’s passionate journey into birth work began early in life with her work with young children as an assistant dance instructor, mentor, and tutor. Serv- ing others has always been her way of living. Stacy sees herself in every mom even if she did not have the same exact experience. Her intention is to hold space for and support moms so that they can be at their best to support their families. Stacy has seen and experienced both sides of the results of a mom’s health-mental, emotional, and physical- on her family. She wants to ensure that moms can see their greatness in the midst of what can at times feel like isolation after such a big life change. She has much empathy and understanding that when women-moms specifically are doing well, all of society can do well.

Stacy is forever evolving and finding balance within everything. Stacy is a mother of three young children and served as a Special Education teacher for the past seven years and now homeschools her children. She utilizes her many gifts as a certified yoga instructor, social emotional facilitator, postpar- tum doula, energetic clearer, homeschool teacher, tutor, lifelong dancer.

Through the work of forever improving herself, she connects back to the Earth through sitting, walking, or gardening as much as possible. She also enjoys cooking and baking as an expression of creativity and nourishment. As she has unlocked her superpower of being a mother, she serves to help other mothers see their power as well within the role of a mother and holistic woman. Doula work continues to be a joy to see the bonds, connection, and growth that is continuously being made.

In their own words:

“I doula because I personally understand the joy and honor that needs to be restored to the privilege of being a mother. Like many others, I experienced overwhelm of the sleepless nights, the isolation of feeling I had to know everything while figuring it out. I doula to help mothers see their power and restore their sense of Self during a time when the mother feels forgotten. Care for mothers is so inferior within a society capable of so much better, and I want to help be a solution.”
