Shelitha Haskell-Owens

Shelitha (she/her) brings such a lovely blend of thoughtful science and gentle, natural
care to her doula work. With her B.S. in Biology and Physiology, her personal

experience with home birth and a heart that’s always learning, she truly un-
derstands the amazing things our bodies can do. She’s like a bridge, con-
necting solid, reliable evidence-based information with a deep, heartfelt re-
spect for the body’s own wisdom. What makes Shelitha truly special is her

sparkling, genuine warmth – her friends say she’s just a joy to be around!

Her love for anatomy, herbal remedies, and holistic wellness isn’t just some-
thing she studies; it’s the very thing that lights her up, fueling her passion to

support birthing families.

When she’s not doula-ing, she’s joyfully homeschooling her little one, plan-
ning delicious and healthy meals, and always learning something new, like

prenatal yoga, breathwork and gardening. All these pieces of her life fit
together, helping her understand the beautiful connection between mind and

body, which is so important in birth. Shelitha’s heart is set on helping fami-
lies feel confident and informed, no matter where they choose to give birth.

For her, it’s about being there to witness and support those incredible, life-
changing moments.

In their own words:
“I doula because I believe, deep down, in the amazing strength of every

birthing person, and I want to make sure everyone feels truly supported, in-
formed, and empowered on their unique journey from pregnancy to postpar-
tum.”
