Brandi Reed

Brandi (she/her) is a labor support, sibling care during labor, and postpartum doula. She started her caregiving journey twelve years ago when looking after infants and toddlers at daycares, and transitioned into supporting children in healthcare and counseling. When not working as a doula, she works as a youth counselor. She has her bachelor’s in psychology, and has had an internship of two years with Headstart Second Step for Early Learning program. She’s worked with children of all ages, and has supported families with resources and overall care.

She enjoys being outside, discovering new scenic places and hiking with her dog Lucy. She loves to practice yoga, meditation and breath-work in her free time, as well as go to the dog park. Something Brandi can’t live without is music, she grew up playing the clarinet, and loves playing the flute and drums and loves singing.

Her intention behind this work is lend a helping hand, a listening ear, and grounded presence throughout this beautiful transition of adding another addition to the family and being of support in the way that works best for the family.

I doula because I love babies, children and families, and I love seeing families embody happiness and healthiness. I have come to love working with families and with children, it’s beautiful work and when I discovered what a doula was, I knew it was something that I wanted to do and would love.
